BIG U @ Venice Biennale

Initially conceived in 2013 as a winning entry of the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s Rebuild by Design Competition, BIG U (also known as the “Dryline” – or more formally, the East Side Resilience Project, ESCR) is a multi-billion coastal resilience project for Manhattan, NY that is now into its first phase on the east side of Manhattan.

In 2018, the BIG U was featured in the Central Pavilion of the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale, and George was part of the design and development team.
